About the Role

As a Commis de Bar, you will support the day-to-day operation of our bar service and work closely with experienced colleagues to ensure guests receive attentive, efficient and polished hospitality.

You will help prepare the bar for service, support the preparation and presentation of drinks, maintain excellent standards of organisation and cleanliness, and engage naturally with guests throughout their experience.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who already has an interest in bar service and beverages and wants to continue developing their skills within a high-quality boutique hospitality environment.

What You Will Do

• Welcome guests warmly and contribute to a relaxed, attentive and polished bar experience.
• Support the preparation and mise en place of the bar before each service.
• Assist with the preparation and service of cocktails, wines, spirits, beers, soft drinks and other beverages.
• Ensure drinks are prepared, presented and served with consistency and attention to detail.
• Develop your knowledge of the drinks menu, ingredients, spirits, wines and cocktails so you can confidently assist guests with their choices.
• Keep the bar clean, organised, well presented and properly stocked throughout service.
• Monitor glassware, garnishes, ice and other service essentials and replenish them as required.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally to requests.
• Work closely with bar, restaurant and kitchen colleagues to ensure a smooth and coordinated service.
• Support opening, closing and general bar preparation duties as required.
• Handle equipment, glassware and products carefully and maintain high standards of presentation throughout the working area.
• Help create the warm, individual and memorable hospitality experience expected across 1912 Collection Marbella.

About You

You enjoy the atmosphere and energy of a great bar and understand that excellent service is about much more than simply preparing a drink. You are attentive, personable and interested in creating an experience guests want to return to.

You are eager to learn, comfortable working as part of a team and take pride in keeping your working environment organised and beautifully presented.

• Previous experience within a bar, restaurant, hotel or guest-facing hospitality environment would be an advantage.
• Experience within a luxury, five-star or high-end boutique hospitality environment would be particularly welcomed.
• A genuine interest in cocktails, spirits, wine and beverage service.
• A warm, friendly and professional approach to guests.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation.
• A positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn from more experienced members of the team.
• The ability to remain organised and composed during busy periods of service.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues wherever required.
• Confidence interacting naturally and professionally with an international clientele.
• A genuine desire to develop your skills and build a career within hospitality.
