Our Food & Beverage experiences are an important part of that identity. We want our bars to combine excellent drinks with warm, intuitive service and an atmosphere guests genuinely want to return to.

About the Role

As Chef de Bar, you will take a leading role in the day-to-day delivery of our bar experience, combining excellent product knowledge with confident, personal hospitality.

You will support the organisation of the bar, guide colleagues during service and help ensure that every drink leaving the bar is prepared and presented consistently. Just as importantly, you will be visible with guests and help create the relaxed yet polished atmosphere we want our bars to be known for.

This is a hands-on position. We are looking for someone who enjoys being behind the bar, understands the rhythm of a busy service and is comfortable taking responsibility while remaining an active part of the team.

What You Will Do

• Help lead the day-to-day bar operation and ensure service is consistently warm, polished and efficient.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, spirits and other beverages to a consistently high standard.
• Create a welcoming atmosphere and build natural relationships with hotel guests and returning visitors.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the drinks offering and confidently guide guests through cocktails, wines, spirits and other beverage choices.
• Support the development, presentation and consistent delivery of the bar's beverage offering.
• Ensure preparation, garnishes, glassware and bar mise en place are completed to the required standard before service.
• Guide and support junior members of the bar team, including Commis de Bar colleagues, during preparation and service.
• Help maintain consistent service standards and encourage strong product knowledge across the team.
• Monitor stock levels during service and ensure the bar remains properly organised and replenished.
• Work closely with restaurant, kitchen and wider Food & Beverage colleagues to deliver a coordinated guest experience.
• Respond confidently to guest feedback and requests, taking ownership and finding appropriate solutions wherever possible.
• Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation throughout all bar and guest-facing areas.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience through thoughtful recommendations and attentive service.
• Help uphold the personality, standards and attention to detail expected across 1912 Collection Marbella.

About You

You are passionate about bars, drinks and hospitality, but understand that a great bar experience is ultimately about people. You enjoy engaging with guests, reading the room and creating an atmosphere that feels polished without becoming formal or scripted.

You lead naturally from within the team, set high standards through your own work and are comfortable taking ownership during busy services.

• Previous experience within a quality bar, restaurant, hotel or similar hospitality environment.
• Experience within a luxury, five-star or high-end boutique hospitality environment would be a strong advantage.
• Strong practical knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines and beverage service.
• Confidence preparing and presenting drinks consistently and to a high standard.
• A warm, engaging and professional approach to guests.
• The ability to guide and support junior colleagues while remaining hands-on during service.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in the presentation and organisation of the bar.
• A calm and organised approach during busy periods.
• Confidence interacting naturally with an international clientele while respecting individual preferences.
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with the wider Food & Beverage team.
• A genuine interest in creating memorable experiences rather than simply serving drinks.
